Dr. MELISA CHRISTIAN
As a premium dental care provider, she remains on the cutting edge of dentistry through numerous hours of dental education annually, and is devoted to establishing and maintaining each patient’s optimum oral health. Every patient is unique, which requires open communication and a willingness to customize treatment for each patient – an approach Dr. Christian loves.
Dr. Christian competes in triathlons and marathons, and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials in the marathon with her performance at the Boston Marathon. She brings this drive for perfection to the creation of each patient’s smile and the maintenance of their oral health. In addition to promoting oral health, Dr. Christian also volunteers her time year around as a coach for the Luke’s Locker marathon and 5K programs for Dallas area residents. Through this program, Dr. Christian strives to encourage overall good health within the community. She also enjoys two greyhounds she has rescued!
Dr. Christian is an active member of the Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS), Texas Dental Association (TDA) and American Dental Association (ADA). She is a Certified Invisalign® Provider, a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is actively involved in multiple dental charity organizations. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry, and has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry, as well as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Student Development.
Dr. MARY SWIFT
Dr. Swift’s passion is changing the life of each patient by providing them a smile they’ll be proud to show everyone! She has been named one of “America’s Best” cosmetic and general dentists the last five years not only for her aesthetic and technical skill, but because she relates so well to her patients.
Dr. Swift is the co-founder of Hopeful Smiles, a non-profit program providing smiles to women trying to re-enter society and the workplace, and has recruited dentists and specialists from around the metroplex to make this happen. She and her husband have three daughters, two cats, and her newest love Chester (a miniature schnauzer).
Dr. Swift has continued her education with literally hundreds of post–graduate course hours in general and cosmetic dentistry, and is a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. She is a Premier Invisalign® Provider and is certified as proficient in the use of lasers in dentistry. She has also been trained and certified in the therapeutic use of BOTOX® to treat headache pain and other symptoms of TMJ and migraines.
Dr. Swift has her D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry, and has over 25 years in the dental profession. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association, as well as the American Academy of General Dentistry.
